Tony, no that is not true. There are different shades of brown and I've seen Pakistanis who are much lighter than Indians. Even tho I'm an Indian girl, I think Pakistani girls have nicer features than Indian girls and are generally prettier. Now don't anyone have a cow because I'm not saying Pakistan is better, I'm just commenting on the ppl I've seen.

Think about it this way.
Kashmiris and Punjabis are considered to be the lightest skinned indians.
Pakistan is mostly punjabi with kashmiri people, add to it the baluchis and the pathans, you have a country with the GENERAL population being lighter skinned than indians.
And what is this bullshiet about pathans hating pakistanis(punjabis)?? I am half pathan and half punjabi and believe me no one hates each other in our family. Even indians... most indians i know(in real life) dont hate pakistanis and we dont hate them.

all of you need to VISIT pakistan..the stupidest comment i have heard yet, besides XTC's, is all pakis are brown..really..i wonder why some of my aunts, cousins, and uncles are white, not to mention second cousins, etc...and I come from a Punjabi family...and yes, moderators, i told you to go ask some english people about what i told you..cause you aren't going to hear it from my mouth. i wonder why i have paki friends who live in england who complain to me about being mistaken for english BY english people..it's not something to brag about..it's a fact. oh yeah, not all sindis are dark..type in tanya shafi khan, a paki model in google..the girl is white! moreover, every pathan i have ever met considers him/her self to be pakastani..this is insane. and pathans are not the only white people in pakastan..go to peshawar,chitral, muree, quetta, gilgit, kashmir, etc and you will SEE many white people, even some with blond hair and blue eyes..and then take into account that there are many white pakis scattered throughout pakistan, now we are taliking about millions of people who are WHITE. i posted some pictures of white pakis before. now there are tons more who are light. i have never been to India. but most indians i have seen in college, work and now grad school are DARK, some even black. many american people have even remarked that to me and said now they even see the difference. in fact, at my summer job, i am the only paki girl and the other 2 indian girls are pretty dark whereas i am olive colored with brown hair. i am sure there are light indians but i have never seen any. i frankly don't care. i don't compete with indians. also if pakastani punjabis were of indian origin, why do we look different indain punjabis? why are paki punjabis a mixed bunch? we range from being dark (like my father) to being white (like my mother).go to yespakistan.com for a discussion of how paki people look with picture links. finally, please visit pakistan.

At the end of the Punjabis and Sindhis are of Indian origin and has Indian blood. Now anyone coming on these boards thinking otherwise are pure liars. Also Afghans are much much whiter than dark brown Pakistanis. As Afghan I don't know of any Afghan who has pakistani friends, thats because pakistanis are liars and back stabbers. They would sell their wives, sisters and daughters in to prostitution to make a quick dollar. I am glad America helped us to kick out pakistani terrorist from our country. Now many of these terrorists are living in Pakistan.

I agree with you completely, but unfortunatly Pakistanis think they are Afghans and Persians and Germans and Italians and English.

But its a shame that all these white nationality can recognise a Paki by their dark brown skin color by a mile.

And Pakis start considering Kashmiris as Pakis, well someone should tell them that Kashmir is not part of Pakistan. Agree they may be few tribal Afghania region where people are of Afghan orgin, but this is at most about 2% of the overall dark brown Paki population. Its bit like India taking people of Sikkim and saying to the world look we Indians are Chinese.

Problem with pakis is that thay have inferior complex and very insecure against India and the good peaceful Indian people, this has let them to make up stories that they are white and have Afghan friends. But you have fooled no one except yourself.

Nina are you mad or a fool? or both? As an outsider I can say that there is no difference between an Afghan Muslim and a Syrian Muslim as both are white colored people. In similar manner same is true for the dark brown/black skin Muslims who are found in Pakistan and Niger. In most cases a Niger person standing next to a Paki will not look any different. Why? Because I work for the British Foreign Office and been to Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Niger. For those of you that don't know Niger is a muslim country in Africa. I rest my case. I have no biased views on this matter as I am nither dark brown, Muslim or a black (Niger looking)Pakistani. I am White British and I can safely say for sure Pakistanis are not white and are not blue eyed blond hair long lost people of England. In British streets Paki and a Brit can easily be recognised by the colour of their skin, there are lot of racial tensions between the pakis and whites in Britain, purely because of Pakistani's smell and their dark/brown black skin color. Ideally we like the Pakistanis go back to their country, but they won't. Its embarring for us to see a Niger looking Paki terrorist with a British passport. Also, they are of course the biggest hypcrypts as they hate the white man and yet they like to call themselves whites and like live in a white man's country. But we understand that they are unable to make anything out of their country or their lives. Ultimatly America and Britain controls the Arab oil. The English got along with Indians fine, they are hard working honest people who excel in business, science, technology, education, where as the Pakis are lazy, picking up their welfare checks every Friday, wear ladies dresses and usually beats up their kids and women. I have many Indian frineds but don't have any Paki friends and frankly I don't care.

As you may have guessed, the traditional Pakistani tribute to his traditional Pakistani beloved has changed over the years. Since the introduction of colored contact lenses, cream bleach, and hair-dye, Pakistani society has basically been anglicized. Or, to put it more bluntly, its changed to white-wannabes.

The greatest insult to Pakistanis does not come from neo-nazis, xenophobes or fools who call us Gandhis, Pakis, Packers, etc., it comes from our own people. When our sisters put out thousands of rupees for fake blue eyes, for blonde hair, for itchy, dry, well bleached but creamy white skin, they are making a screaming statement; "We hate our Pakistani brown skin color", thus hating their trueself.

Dear Coconuts, I warn you of this because I want you to run screaming from the white-wannabes phenomenon. When you see a marble-eyed model with blond hair and black eyebrows, I want you to wonder who let that woman out of her house looking so phony. I want you to laugh at her pasty-white face and brown neck. I want you to feel insulted that Western is wonderful, and Eastern is ugly. Get angry! I am, everyone on TV is telling me my skin is ugly. I've been born in the wrong color scheme! I can't look good unless my eyes are bluer than smurfs and my skin whiter than bone.

Pale faces are exquisite, and rich brown ones must be bleached off the face of the earth (literally…ha ha) even at the expense of dry skin, chemically scarred faces and the price of maintenance. The whole bleach-cream trend can be summed up in thirty seconds of a commercial that airs on PTV (Pakistan Television).

A young woman sits in a dark room, her face carelessly painted over with brown foundation and fake freckles. (Much to my own freckled indignation, freckles are seen as blemishes here, hmmph!) She puts her sad, brown chin in her hands and moans "I wanna be white".

You have written very eloquently the truth of the matter. I wish every single Indian and Pakistani girl living anywhere reads your message. It is sad to see so many of them trying to change their natural beauty for lack of self confidence and self esteem. It is so bizarre to see in Canada, USA and the UK South Asian girls with colored henna/almond/blonde color hair, false eyes and painted faces just to hide their true face. One thing is a make-up to appear decent but what is going on is ghastly. I am sure like all fads and fashions it will pass too but among Pakistani girls this trend is showing more sadly. Even mature Paksitani ladies are wearing totally unsuitable colors to their hair as one can see in public places. The women in Mediterranean Arab countries also followed this trend for some time in 80s.

Beauty can only be enhanced by developing inner qualities and without a deeply aware heart and mind, all plastic beauty is frankly pathetic.
