Being a ex muslim myself i would have to agree with you that it is a much better idea to you both being hindus rather than muslims. This is very unusual because muslims will allways insist that you become muslim becasue of the brainwashing they have recieved all there lives.

I have a question regarding hinduism, Does Hinduism insist on conversion as islam does.
Like me your husband will probably have to leave his friends and family because the punishment for apostasy is death.
He must love you a great deal to convert, my opinion is if it works for both of you it's just fine. In the end all that really matters is love. It will conquer anything and anyone. Nothing else matters, no money, religion, colour, background or anything else, be happy and be proud of your selves. People like you carry the light for all our futures.

WHOA!- get this! I was at gathering yesterday where there were variety of religions represented - was social and not at all religious gathering, just talk that came up - and sufi there said this religion is based upon Jesus' teachings - no kidding! they say they are distinct as sufi, not muslim or christian, and dont have to follow any strict prayer schedule or practices required by either those. he is reading books by Karen Armstrong to determine how these religions split from each other and how sufism can get them back to common ground. so i guess everyone nowadays has own idea of what their religion really is cuz i was always taught sufi was a form of islam.

why should anyone convert to hinduism. all the eastern religions are the same. they can keep what they have. by the way what did any religion give anyone so far.hatred, division, self accept rules and regulations, or self proclaimed government. any prophet or guru did not start any religion.it always starts afterwards. some well wishers start thinking on those lines and then the super ego filled soceity takes over and makes mess of everything. God is different , religion is different. remember God is different, preaching religion is different. does anyone take over the world on the name of a religion or does anyone want salvations?
