this is on the issue of sikhs and hindus disliking each other. i am a hindu from punjab and i can assure you that i have nothing at all against sikhs and am totally happy about the integration between sikhs and hindus in punjab. i myself have been to a gurdawara and know many sikhs who have been to a hindu temple. Bottom line is that we may be of a different religion but are all proud to be punjabi!

by the what about the darves dee kulli.everyone drags this to their side of the mind.although darves is always tolrent but wnen you leave nothing of darves on the site.where should the subject darves go.you are not talking about darves here.you are talking politics.it is not a good idea to malign it with your own mind.be tolerant and come back to the title darves.

But one point you have to address is that why do any sikhs have a problem with hindu's in the first place?

They created the problems not the sikhs!! What about the hatred shown against the sikhs from the hindus? What about all that has happened to the sikhs from the hindus? what about that hatred? What about the disloyalty shown to punjab from punjabi hindus (mother tongue issue?) What about Punjab's capital chandigarh, half taken away? what about Punjab being the last state to be determined? what about all these issues that the hindus have controlled? If there was no hatred sikhs would have been given a fair deal. If there was no haterd shown towards sikhs by hindus, why didn't they help when innocent sikhs were getting killed? what about these issues? what about all this RSS, India for hindu's only issues? if hindu are so brotherly to sikhs they should ban such organisations!!

Punjabi soldier you are right. This hatred against hindus is created mainly by a few khalistanis and pakistanis.
The pakistanis pretend to be the friends of sikhs, but we all know what happened to sikhs in pakistan. They formed 40% of pakistani punjab in 1930's and I read that the present population is less than 10,000.
If pakistani muslims are so tolerant toward sikh's, why have millions of sikhs chosen to migrate to "hindu' punjab ?
Why are all the kashmiri sikhs all migrating from muslim areas to hindu majority Jammu ?

So now the participation of hindu's on this site is being questioned. Well has anyone read what is written about the punjabi hindu's on this site? Why would any hindu want to post on a bias site. You just have to look at Reza Khan's post which seems to imply that Punjab only consists of Sikhs and Muslims. Well to put her straight Indian Punjab is in majority Sikh but hindu's consist of between 40 & 45% of its population. Anyway it does not matter what the numbers are all should be welcome to participate without hate posting being on almost every topic. I showed this site to my friend last week and he couldn't believe how hindu's were being portrayed on this sight. He hadn't even heard of half the stuff they are supposed to have done because it never really happened. I would also like to point out that Cool Jatt does not represent the views of sikhs, jatts or punjabi's. Same goes for many postings put up by muslim. I think the editors have let this site down by allowing people with their own agenda's to spread hate and mis educate the young asians visiting this site. I refer to information given on this site as mis education because many young asians use the internet to find out about their religion and culture. Now suppose you are one of these people and you visit this site and think that what is on this site is fact not propoganda then you will leave hating your own community because lets face it in Punjab there is no such thing as a Sikh community or hindu community or any other community on the basis of segregation. Punjab is my community. All the good people in the world weren't born into one religion or caste etc. So wake up people.

This sight should either be more careful of the posts it allows to be put up or simply state that this site is over run by extremist postings because it is not right to pollute the minds of young asians.

Anyway nothings going to change so i'm just going to have to sit back and watch this all carry on until one day when it's going to be too late and Punjab is not going to be one community but many communities based on religion caste etc.

Sat Sri Akal, salaam and hello dear fellow human beings. I being a muslim and a punjabi born and raised in Scotland and being 18 years old have realised a lot of things at a really early age. I was brought up in a culture of punjabi and a religion of Islam, . Over the past years i thought myself as a hard line muslim....maybe brainwashed by elders of islams uniqueness. Islam has many good points, it has many points which are very close to sikhism and agree with it surely. But over the past years, things like praying, and hurting other human beings has really got to me. We as msulims are NOT all like that. In the past dating back to the Mughal dynasty's, i agree there were things done which should NEVER had been done by muslims , after all Islam is a religion of peace, it tells us to respect everyone (read Quran, it stresses this point over and over again) the quran teaches us to 'think' and 'to use our brain' , we should think what is right and wrong. I know Aurengzeb and other emperors done bad, but rulers like Akbar the Great were an example to follow, he respected all faiths, done many things whioch tempered the hardline muslims and tried to bring Akbar down.

I have many Sikh friends, and i love them as any other human being, my heart is clean for them, sometimes my friend may say "Babay dee soo(n)" and i might say "Allah di kasam", religion will live on, but ppl can change most of its ways and bring TRUE islam back, not the false one that the mughals brought, it was peace they were meant to bring, not hate. I am interested in Sikhism just as much as Islam, i wanna broaden my horizons of knowledge, wanna respect other religions, i wanna know what they have to say, their history etc. i respect everyone who respects me, i love them who love human beings or me for that matter of fact . So please if everyone looks at it as a new point of view, the shit we gave back to when we invaded countries is what we are getting back (eg. Israel, Chechnya, Kosovo, Bosnia) and we are realising the mistakes, we too now maybe warriors just like our Sikh brothers back in time, we want our rights too and thats where the 'fundamenatalism' comes in, most take it too far. I hope you understand what i am saying. However if any1 wanna email me, then feel free bro's and sis's. Your deep insights are commendable, however you should not that not all Punjabis are Muslims or Sikhs, there are Hindus and Christians too. Irrespective of religions all Punjabis originate from same roots.

Anyone discriminating among them is not a TRUE Punjabi. And anyone who falls into man made discriminations can never strive to achieve the spiritual route of purity of thought, where all these meaningless and ritualistic labels disappear and we become part of ONE super soul.
