Hi Sikhs bros and sis. could you please answer my question, cuz I need to write my paper about the WEARING OF KIRPAN. here is the question-> do Sikhs use their kirpan as a weapon, I mean in their country to fight for their rights n stuff like that? :D

At that time of Guru Govind Singh elder child of every punjabi family becomes sikh.Slowly and slowly the next generation of these sikhs makes all their children sikhs and the hindus make their children hindus. That is why all the castes are still the same in punjab. I don't know about jaat. Show me any sikh cast in which hindus are not there. All the sikh gurus are khatris and majority of the khatris are hindus.

basic u little looser kirpan was to protect you bahmins coz u couldn't save ur sorry scared asss from muslims and terrorism i think is killing innocent muslims in gujrath in the name of some ram mandir taht u can't even say ever existed

Sikhs had to use the kirpan to fight againts the Brutal Self-rightgeous fake Muslims of the past who were invading and forcefully converting hindhus with the threat of death. They infact were not acting in accordance of True Islamic Law. The Sword is used in Self defence and in defence of the truth as a last resort.

Before you say anything about Sikhi you should Read the Writings of the Sikh Guru's. They truley define Sikhi. If you haven't read it your comments on the Sikh religion hold no value because you are not versed in the subject you are commenting on and are just making broad and uninformed comments. If you are a hindhu you have the Sikhs of 300 years ago to Thank for the preservation of your Religion. If it wasn't for the Sikh Warriors Hindhuism as you know it would have been destroyed and everyone converted to Islam in India. You would be a Pakistani instead of Indian.

i reckon yugas ago, hinduism WAS sikhism but it has been corrupted with idol worship, worship of flying monkeys etc, cowshagging and caste system over the years
if anyone can give me ONE reason how hinduism is superior to sikhism i will convert straight away. till then im gursikh 2 the bone.

first of all there can be no wrong about sikh religion.but if u think there then ask the question.i and we will answer.don't mix social customs habits of the clans or the individuals agaianst the religion.sikh religion is the only religion which talks only about you , your teacher and your God. this is the only religion which gives equality to men and women and everything.all other religions have bit story books and u have to extract what u want or they drag u with their views

I live in Malaysia. It is good to see that sikhs here are treated with good respect in this muslim country. The malay word for a sikh is 'Bhaiee'-- meaning brother.
Most of us understand that the sikhism is an offshoot of Sufi relgion. It is disgrace to see hinduism is creeping within these folks like termite.. They consider it as a way of sikh life and are very proud of it. Some of them have started visiting hindu temples. Is it because most of them are converted from hindus? or sikhs still think that they are hindus?. I feel that if sikhism had a code of conduct as other religion like muslim, christianity, jews do then they will not be mislead or astray. Hinduism is a way of life and it is not a religion. There are no specific code of conduct. Man can live and die as he feels. Guru nanak is more a sufi less hindu. He had an ambition. There may be people out there defending this argument. Well recorded History never lies.
Both Buddhism and Jainism came from Hinduism.
Sikhism is simply a mixture of Hinduism and Sufi Islam.
Guru Nanak was nothing more than a Sufi. His lifetsyle was also the same as the other Sufi saints.
There is little evidence that Nanak brought a new religion into the world. Or even that it was his aim to do so.
The Granth was written by the other Gurus who came after him. It was one of them that invented the Khalsa.
It was the Khalsa that really set Sikhism apart as a religion. It basically rejects the caste system, just as Buddhismn and Jainism earlier did. But it has kept the concept of re-incarnation. Surprise surprise, just as Buddhism and Jainism earlier did.
The caste system has been used by many to attack Hinduism (Santana Dharam), but it is a mere cultural development and has nothing to do with the Hindu religion.
This is very sad though and must be explained to the low caste people who have are converting to Buddhism. Little do these converts realise that they converting to an ofshoot of Hinduism. That is also what Sikhism is.

Sikhism has more in common with budhism and jainism, than it does with hinduism. Buddhism and Jainism have more in common with Sikhism than they do with Hinduism.
the main reason of conflict between sikhs and hindus is punjabi hindus.they refused to accept punjabi as their language although they are speak it.when tara singh saw in the first census,he started the egitation.although punjabi hindus and sikhs are very close.why they did it.next reason is the prosperity of sikhs which the hindus of up,mp and bihar do not like it.sikh religion has nothing to do with hindu religion.sikh religion is closest to sufi religion which has been eliminated by muslims as usual.guru gobind singh does not worship durga. it is all the writings of ram and sham the poets in gobind singhs court from mathura.it is doing of hindus to put this on his name.it is against guru gobind singhs character and teachings.there is nothing in sikh granth which comes from hindu scriptures or devtas or even krisha rama or bhagwat geeta or ramayna. don't you ever say that sikh religion is off shoot of hinduism.yes most of the sikhs have converted from hindus.
