As for what I said,to the best of my knowledge,hadiths is predicting/detailing the supposed sayings of the Prophet.And sunnah is the supposed actions of the Prophet,like polygamy,keeping a beard etc.Thus there are at least an estimated million different hadiths.They range from society to society (?) and are seen as supplementary to the Quran.I have read extracts from certain hadiths and if they are accurate then I must say with all honesty that I am apalled and sickened by its' content and subject matter....in the name of God.

Let me give you a little background about these Nihangs. Basically they are baptized yet don't completely follow Sikhism step by step although they like to force it on others.

For example, a lot of them ride horses from one village to another all their lives and a lot of them are settled in Gurdwaras. Every time they see anyone smoking a cigarette, they physical slap them and yet I have seen Nihangs hiding cigarettes in their turbans.

Another thing about these Nihangs is that they don't wanna pay bus fare. Where does it say in GGS that a Sikh doesn't have to pay the bus fare? So, sometimes they are forced ride at the top of the bus in the luggage. I already mentioned the incident where a Nihang got on a train while riding on his horse's back and then he didn't want to pay the fare because he said he was his horse and they should charge the horse for the fare. One time I got on a bus from Delhi and a Nihang also got on the bus and didn't want to pay the fare. So, the bus conductor actually slapped him around for not wanting to pay the bus fare. So, my point is that, basically, these Nihangs make us (Sikhs) look stupid.

Third thing that I have noticed about these Nihangs is that they actually mix marijuana in milk on Guru Arjun Dev Ji's martyrdom day and drink it. We all know marijuana is an intoxicating substance and Sikhs are not allowed to use intoxicating substances.

Now you tell me what good does it do being baptized when they are not going to follow Sikhism properly and how can they preach when they don't anything about religion and humanity?

I am also a jat with ancient land in the punjab - but the khalsa ceremony was also a ceremony to equalise all humans and not diferentiate them with the caste system. However this jut punjabi as he calls himself, has at the fore front, named him self to a caste first which i think is not good and againt the basic grass root principles of sikhism.

Pakistan Has Edge on India in PC Penetration:World Bank Report
NEW DELHI, Sept 14 Asia Pulse - India comes in a place behind Pakistan in the penetration of personal computer (PC) use among the population, according to World Bank Development Report (WDR).
In Pakistan 3.9 of every 1,000 people uses a PC, whereas in India it is only 2.7. It is to be noted that the Gross Domestic Product of India (as per 1999) was US$459.765 billion and that of Pakistan it was US59.880 billion, which meant India's GDP was almost eight times that of Pakistan, the 2000-01 WDR said.

The Internet hosts (calculated on the basis of computers connected directly to worldwide network) per 10,000 people showed 0.34 for Pakistan and it was 0.23 for India, it said quoting a study.

The report also showed Pakistan was ahead of India in per capita and food production index. While the per capita agriculture productivity was 626 in Pakistan, it was 406 for India. The food production index for Pakistan was 136.2 and 119.9 for India.

Even with vast geographical size, India has only 32.4 percent of irrigated land to total crop land compared to Pakistan with 80.8 percent, when arable land (in hecares per capita) being the same with 0.17 for both the coutries. The domestic credit provided by the banking sector for 1999 showed 47 percent for Pakistan, it was only 44.9 percent for India, the report said.

According to the report, the export of goods and services in 1999 was to the tune of 15 percent of GDP in Pakistan whereas it was only 11 percent in India.

The structure of output (value added as percent of GDP) remained same in Pakistan for the agriculture, industry, manufacturing and services sectors with 26, 25, 17 and 49 percent respectively over the previous reporting period (1990), the report cited.

But in India, the share of agriculture, industry and manufacturing declined from 31 to 28, 27 to 25 and 17 to 16 respectively from 1990 to 1999. There was only four percent increase in value addition in the service sectors from 42 to 46 percent in India for the corresponding period, the report added.

Fundamentalist leader calls for 'liberating' India

LONDON -- A fundamentalist Islamic leader has admitted that he has been sending youths from Britain to join a pan-Islamic army that aims to "liberate" India.

The leader, Omar Bakri Mohammed, has said, however, that he would target Pakistan before India because, "the way to start is to demolish the kafir (heretical) regime (of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif) in Pakistan."

Mohammed has been making these pronouncements in his fiery speeches at mosques here in recent weeks.

In a recent address, a tape of which was circulated by his group Al-Mohajiroun and obtained by India in New York, Mohammed made a clear call to the youth present at the mosque to join the jehad (holy war) in Kashmir. "Go there and fight," he said. "Get one military commander and move."

The way to do this is to "kill the kafir," he said. "You can't kill them if you don't fight them. But when they fight us, we will fight them. And we will become permitted then to kill them whenever we meet them."

According to Mohammed, if people in India oppose his plans, they must be "removed" because even though "we do not want to kill people because they are not Muslim," we have to "remove any obstacle that wants to stop the law of God being implemented."

Mohammed was once part of the extremist Hizb-ul-Tahrir group, but broke away from them because he believed their views on extremism and jehad (holy war) were not strong enough.

According to Mohammed, India must be "liberated" by the "army from the nearest state." In the case of India, he said, these were the armies of Pakistan and Bangladesh, but for these two armies to act, "these two regimes (in Pakistan and Bangladesh) should be removed." The Pakistani government, he said, was not doing enough. "What is Pakistan waiting for? What are they waiting for?" he asked. But, he also added: "I'm not saying go do it. By Islamic law its permissible. By British law its illegal. So, as Muslims, its entirely up to you."

Mullah tells Osama to launch biological warfare against the non-Muslims

After coming to Britain he formed the Al Muhajiroun terrorist organization and is responsible for actively recruiting young Muslims to carry out terrorist activities in Kashmir, Kosovo and many other places around the world. Sources say that Omar Bakri has links with the British Muslims who were arrested in Yemen on suspicion of plotting to bomb British consulate there.

Omar Bakri has a large photograph of Bin Laden which he proudly displays on a wall in his office. He considers Bin Laden to be the leader of the Mujahideen (Islamic terrorists) and practically worships him. His hateful war cry has alarmed the British authorities who are becoming increasingly concerned about the use of mosques as the launch pad for Islamic terrorism.

The fanatical mullah now faces deportation for promoting activities which will harm the UK. This my 2 cents worth,

I think that this kind of thing was more common a few years ago,than it is now because sikhs are more aware of this. A lot of this is our own people's fault,they are too busy thinking about money,money,money. I have known of girls that have run away from their families and converted,but there is one thing,"THEY ALWAYS REGRET IT", I know of someone in this position and she says it was the biggest mistake she made in her life,she's lost her family,her pride,her guru,she desperatley wants to get back with her family,but they do not want to know her.A big part of our dharma and eastern philosphies is "Self-Realisation",they realise for themselves what they have done,they have a bit of dharma the hard way. We should not make the mistakes that the previous generations have, we should bring these girls back into our fold, too much pride is a vice in sikhi,these girls should be used to teach other girls about the dangers of people like this. The older generation is a waste of space,it's up to us to do something,we are the future. Our people are ignorant,the older generation are a lost cause,they cannot be bothered,they say this and say this but they won't do squat,that is why it is up to us to educate ourselves.The price of being Sikh is eternal vigilance,these muslims who try to convert are very strong in their beliefs and they always hang around in numbers,numbers is their strength,but one sikh who is firm in their belief and has the guts to stick up for their beliefs inspite of being outnumbered is much stronger,that is what these kind of muslims fear.

I know what you mean about the situation in UK. Look
we fought the Muslims and won every time in Birmingham then they just go underground for a few years then only to re-surface. At the time of defeat they plead brotherly love and pacify the Sikhs about being Asian, this is from their political people i.e. in Mosques and political party activists. We don't have such backings our leaders (i.e. the elderly) are a total waste of time.
Alot of young Sikhs are coming to the view the only way to fight back is now to date Muslim girls, but the parents won't accept conversion and so won't allow their sons to marry them. The ones who do usually end-up moving away from the family or in some cases convert to Islam. I think it's about time we Sikhs started to accept converts.
This situation in UK isn't ideal for any of the communities, i.e. for Muslims, Sikhs and Hindus.
But vast majority of people in UK still end-up marrying their own kind.

What we don't like is the targeting of Non-Muslim female and increasing Males as well for conversion. As long as somebody thinks they have a right to try to convert you there will always be trouble. And believe me there is not that much difference between Sikhs and Muslim girls in UK.
