SAMIS SIS, I FEEL PITY FOR YOU, THAT YOU HAVE TO PUT UP WITH SUM1 LIKE THAT, WHOSE SEEKING ATTENTION BY THE SOUNDS OF IT, MUST BE SO HARD FOR YOU.
BUT AS YOU ARE TRYIN TO IGNORE HER THAT SEEMS THE BEST SOLUTION.
YEH CURSES SOUNDS A BIT HARSH, HOW CAN U CURSE YR OWN FAMILY, ITS PATHETIC, JUST TRY AND STAY OUT OF HER WAY, I WOULD FEEL QUITE DISTURBED BY THESE CURSES.
TAKE CARE

my mother in law does it when she fights with me, to show my son that i have wronged her . then she will invoke curses on herself etc it is really low of her but when i see the desired effect on her son i feel that i should also try it!
Dear friend
On the contrary, by keeping silence and by ignoring her outcome - you will avoid a lot.
To compete with an ignorant means total loss.

I've seen it a few times and I do n't understand the sense in and what's to be achieved. I think for some women it's one way of letting there anger out for other I think they simply do it to get attention.

has anyone come across the punjabi expression of grief/anger frustration called pittna. Women hit themselves in an expression of grief following a death in the family, or during an argument with a spouse. has anyhone any experience of this, or have you indulged in it and why. Why do some women do it? Any emails on the subject will be welcomed SSDUDE.MAIL- at - VIRGIN.NET
